How it works
Hey, Georgia Kaye here! I’m a website designer from St. Louis, and I prioritize building sites that are easy for my clients to update as their business grows.
Showit is one of my favorite website platforms for this exact reason! Its drag-and-drop visual editor means my clients can update their website without custom code.
But here’s the catch – I work with a ton of realtors, and couldn’t recommend Showit to them for a single reason: adding live real estate listings was SO clunky compared to other platforms.
Integrating IDX is not a user-friendly process.
It’s very tech-heavy, requires an approval process, and typically has to be outsourced to a developer which carries a hefty price tag.
After I had yet another realtor client wanting to build on Showit, I got connected with the amazing RealtyCandy team.
They specialize in tech services for real estate agents, with IDX integrations being top of the list. After working with them on a few real estate sites, I was blown away with what the team could do!
So we partnered together with a common goal:
Make the IDX integration process user-friendly, affordable and aesthetic for the Showit platform.
Over a year later, we are so excited to make that goal a reality and officially launch the Universal IDX Website Template Add-Ons for Showit, exclusively compatible with IDX Broker!

Can I install the templates myself?
While traditional Showit templates require a share key so you can install them yourself, these add-on templates don’t have that. These function a bit differently due to the IDX integration.
Our team will actually handle the techy heavy lifting for you – including installing the templates within your Showit account, and customizing the fonts and colors based on your brand guidelines.
How customizable are the templates?
You can use as few/many of the template pieces as you’d like, and you will be able to change the fonts and colors as needed.
However, due to the technical nature of these templates, you won’t be able to change the layouts themselves (such as moving a map to the right instead of the left). A la carte hourly editing is available at an additional cost if needed.
The process
If you already have an IDXBroker active account with MLS approval, you can skip the first two steps!
When you use RealtyCandy’s signup link, IDX Broker will waive their $100 account creation fee! Our templates are compatible with all IDX Broker plans. If you already have an active IDX Broker account, you can skip to the next step.
All IDX Broker clients will need to be approved by the MLS or MLSs they are needing on their account. Each MLS requires this approval before any MLS data can be used with an IDX Broker account. In other words, this has to be completed before we can install your templates!
This process and timeline varies by MLS, but don’t worry – as part of your template purchase, you have priority email support with the RealtyCandy team, who will work with you throughout this approval process! They’ll ensure all necessary info is ready to go so the templates can be successfully installed.
If you already have an active IDX Broker account, you can skip to the next step.
Once your MLS is approved, it’s time for us to install your templates! We’ll ask about fonts, colors and other design details, and have you add us as a contributor on your Showit account.
In one business week, we will install the templates within your Showit account, and they will be saved as site canvases and individual pages. While they will be “published” pages, they won’t be accessible to your website visitors just yet.
Once we’re wrapped up, we’ll send you an email to confirm, along with a video of how to integrate the sections and pages into your live Showit website!
You’ll also receive training videos on how to swap colors, copywriting and other settings.

After signing up with IDX Broker, they will contact you by email to get all the data needed to activate your service.

If you already have an active IDX Broker account, then you only need to send the email requesting to use RealtyCandy as your development partner (instructions provided after template purchase). They typically make this change within about 1 business day.
Nope – your payments will continue as they are, directly to IDX Broker but RealtyCandy will be your first contact for tech support. They will remain your developer partner as long as your IDX Broker account is active.
This is a huge help since IDX can be quite daunting, but you’ll have a friendly team of experts to support you every step of the way!
At this time, these templates are only compatible with IDX Broker and will not work with any other third-party service provider for MLS data.
Yes, we are able to show MLS listings from Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas and Jamaica.

We will install the templates within your Showit account, and they will be saved as site canvases and individual pages. While they will be “published” pages, they won’t be accessible to your website visitors just yet. In other words, we will not add the site canvases to any current pages on your website, or connect the IDX pages to your main menu.
From there, you can insert the template SECTIONS (which are saved as site canvases) into your website wherever you would like. The template PAGES can be linked via a button anywhere on your website, or linked in your main menu. Training videos are provided after purchase.
You’ll have access to a video training library on how to swap colors, copywriting and other settings for your template sections and pages for future updates you may want to make.
Please note that structural edits (such as changing a layout) are not included with your template purchase. Those edits can be made at an hourly rate of $150 by the RealtyCandy team.

You must have a Showit website in order to use our templates. These are add-on templates, meaning they must be integrated within an existing website. They cannot be used as a standalone website.
