As an avid luxury traveler who loves a good deal, Alex wanted to share his hard-earned travel knowledge with others while documenting his adventures along the way. He wanted to create a blog that was not only beautiful, but also detail-oriented and very organized, presenting information in a digestible way for even the newest explorer. It was also important that he could easily update the blog on his own with new content on a regular basis.
Planely Alex features categorized custom post templates for hotel reviews, airline reviews and travel guides. On the backend, Alex simply has to pop in copy and images, and the website updates with the correct formatting on the front end! This provides a custom experience for visitors, so they aren’t just seeing identical blog posts across the entire site.
Another special feature I love is a nod to Alex’s career in tech. At the beginning of long emails, the author typically includes tl;dr, which means “too long;didn’t read.” It’s a quick synopsis of the longer email with the most important information for a reader who doesn’t have time to read the full text – you’ll find this handy segment at the top of most of his blog posts!
Alex’s branding was created by the MKW Creative Co. team.
